I wonder how many weeks after election night we'll get the results from Boulder County? So far, indications are it's going to be sloooooow.
Ok, I mailed in my ballot Monday (go Jared & Cindy) so Boulder County received it Tuesday. So I go to the election site to verify that they have received my ballot. Apparently 2 days is just not enough time to process a ballot.
What's also weird is the Clerk's office has verified that this is where the info is available - but there is no line on the page for the ballot status. Now granted, the inter-tubes are a tough concept for Hillary so it may just be that she needs another couple of years to get this working...
Update (from a friend):
Dave,
Carlos Webb [BoCo elections division] and I finally spoke. He acknowledged that there was not a field in the voter information page to determine if they have received your ballot. Only after they process the ballot is something added. He spoke with the webmaster and they are going to tweak the voter information page to make it more obvious when your ballot is received. I'll verify next week.
Update 2:
The main election page now has this:
Ensure your mail-in ballot was received and processed beginning Wednesday, July 23. Please allow five business days after mailing your ballot.
So apparently it takes the election department 4 days to track that they've received your ballot. This reminds me of a very old Saturday Night Live skit by Charles Grodin where he did a PSA asking businesses to hire the incompetent, because if they didn't - who would.
