Claire Levy - getting her groove back

Ok, Claire made a couple of dumb steps initially in the McLean Stevens land grab. But it looks like she has finally realized how badly her initial statements served her. She has jumped on to co-sponsor the Witner/Tupa bill to fix the adverse possession law.

It's pretty clear from how Claire has handled this, including her statements in today's article, that McLean/Stevens are close friends of hers. And it is a hard thing to realize a good friend did something reprehensible.

But most people do realize that our representatives are human beings. We don't expect perfection as long as they can learn from their mistakes. And it does look like Claire has learned. Is her latest response "perfect?" No. But it's good enough that her seat is probably (repeat probably) safe once again.

One request Clarie - please let that stupid Hummer surcharge proposal of yours die a quiet death. Everyone realizes it's ridiculous and it won't do anyone any good to try and move it forward. (If you're looking for some good ideas of bills to propose, you're welcome to any of these ideas.)
